One thing that we’re loving about The Gray Man is all of the press. See, press means that the actors will be talking about other roles also. You know that we want to hear all about Barbie, and well, though he can’t say much, Ryan Gosling sure delivered on what he could say.
While promoting The Gray Man, Gosling appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Gosling was asked about the stir that the first look of him as Ken in the upcoming film.
“I was surprised how, you know, some people were clutching their pearls at my Ken as though they ever thought about Ken for a second before this,” Ryan joked with Jimmy. “They never played with Ken. Nobody plays with Ken, man. Did you play with Ken?”
“He’s an accessory,” he added. “And not even one of the cool ones.”
Though we beg to differ, we can’t. Because you know, Ken may have been the doll that we asked our parents why they got it for us. Then again, maybe it’s that we didn’t appreciate Ken when we were 10. Yet as an adult, we can appreciate the real life Ken that is Ryan Gosling.
But the first look at Ryan Gosling as Ken may not have been what we expected. Hell, it may have given us nightmares about ever bleaching our hair and getting spray tan.
Our pearls were clutched not over Ken, but because they made Ryan Gosling look like that.
