We were already hyped for Vampire Academy, but it’s funny how one good trailer can just take things up a notch. Because that final moment in the trailer? Rose’s words about Lissa? Yes, yes, yes. This is Vampire Academy. And this gives us hope that there will be more of this show …you know, seasons and seasons worth. Covering all the books. And that other book series too.
This isn’t us pleading or anything. We’re not dying to meet some characters, nah. We’re cool.
But …watch the trailer first and then let us talk.
Peacock also released some new pictures — as well as key art for the show — which you can see below:

Now let’s talk HYPE. The way these people seem to embody the characters! The visuals. Christian! The dhampirs! Our ship, giving us so much with very little. There’s so much story here, so much depth and for fans of the books like me, the number one thing we wanted was to feel like this world — a very different one than other vampire properties — was coming alive. And that’s what it feels like.
So yes, HYPE. Good vibes. And we’ll be here to break it all down next month.
Just in case you know nothing of the show, the logline reads as follows:
From executive producers Julie Plec & Marguerite MacIntyre comes a story of friendship, romance and danger. In a world of privilege and glamour, two young women’s friendship transcends their strikingly different classes as they prepare to complete their education and enter vampire society. One as a powerful Royal, the other a half-vampire Guardian trained to protect against the savage ‘Strigoi’ who threaten to tear their society apart. That is, if Royal infighting doesn’t do the job first.
Did we say HYPE already? HYPE.
Vampire Academy premieres on Peacock Thursday, September 15, with four episodes. New episodes will then be released weekly on Thursdays.
