Do we know if there is a season two of Partner Track? No. But are we thinking about it? Yes. We love the show and we’re not willing to let go of hopes that we’re going to get more and answers to the questions that we have.
And we have a lot of them. Questions that is.
While we loved the first season, the final episode left a lot of things up in the air. There was no telling what is going to happen, because even though we thought that we knew, those last twenty minutes reminded us that writers can switch on a dime.
And these writers did.
But it set up season two was the chefs kiss. So is season two going to answer what we want. We shall see.
DOES RACHEL GET OUT OF HER OWN WAY?
We relate to Rachel. She’s fierce, she’s guarded, and nothing scares her more than love and following her dreams. She sure as hell made a mess of a lot of shit in season one, but by the end of the season she was trying to fix it all.
We can relate to Rachel that she’s afraid and figuring out a way to be less afraid. She’s going after her dreams and doing whatever it takes to make them come true.
But what she also needs to do is allow herself to be loved. Justin and her belong together.
IS SOMEONE GONNA CHECK DAN AND MARTY?
Dan is a racist fuck and we hate him. He deserved to get fired for what he did at the retreat, but the firm – well, they put themselves first. Money over doing the right thing.
Marty is a selfish prick who doesn’t care about anyone but himself and money.
Both of them need to be put in their place. Both of them need to be checked. But who is going to do it? We need them both to learn their lesson and we’re hoping they do. Something about them needs to change.
We pray that it happens in season 2.
WHAT HAPPENED TO NICK?
Look, we get that Nick is out of the picture with Ingrid, but we miss him. We liked him. Just not for her. Nick was a good guy and we’d barely gotten to know him. He’s one of the only characters in this show that we felt didn’t get enough growth. He seemed like a yes man, but we would have loved to see more about what he did and who he is.
You are not only your relationship and we wanted to see who Nick was.
DOES TYLER LIKE QUEENS?
This writer is living in Queens and loves it. But the pull between Manhattan and Queens is real. So we want to know does Tyler like Queens? Is he committed to it for the long haul? How does his life change?
And honestly, we’ll understand if there is a pull between the two. We get the love for both Manhattan and Queens.
DOES THE CHEMISTRY BETWEEN Z AND INGRID GET MORE INTENSE?
Unless you are living under a rock and don’t know what chemistry is – you can’t deny that there is a lot of chemistry between Ingrid and Z. Now that Ingrid has helped Z and he’s the head of SunCorp, their lives are going to be intermixed.
And we can’t stress enough how the have amazing chemistry. It’s off the charts.
We can only wonder with what Murphy has done, what’s going to happen next and will whatever it is lead her right into Z’s arms?
WHAT THE FUCK IS MURPHY’S EXCUSE?
We liked Murphy. Ok, we didn’t at first, but we changed direction, and we liked him. He was there for Ingrid. He was all about her.
And then he wasn’t. How? Because he LIED and STABBED HER IN THE BACK.
When Marty said that she didn’t make partner because she was arrested and Murphy is the one that told him, our heart sank. She opened her heart to him and loved Murphy unconditionally, only to have him stab her in the back.
Everything was built on a lie and that’s not something that Ingrid will be able to deal with. He took what she’d worked so hard for and he lied.
What is his excuse? Not that we’d believe it anyways.
Partner Track is streaming now on Netflix.
