The next episode of Reginald The Vampire is very close! This show always makes us live with raw emotions. We sat down with Em Haine, Aren Buchholz, and Marguerite Hanna to share their affinity with the characters and the message this show has for them. Ready?
Here we go!
The characters of Em Haine, Aren Buchholz, and Marguerite Hanna are complex characters that show a huge spectrum of emotions. The viewers can identify with them because Sara, Todd, and Ashley have that mixture of light and darkness so human that it is impossible not to find something special and unique in each of them.
This helps viewers connect with the characters and even when they don’t agree with them, they are rooting for them. So we were curious how Em Haine, Aren Buchholz, and Marguerite Hanna were different from their characters. All three agreed that they are “very similar to them because certain reactions and dialogues felt real and the way they would have acted. Also, just like their characters, they would give anything for the people they love.”
The way Em Haine, Aren Buchholz, and Marguerite Hanna understand their characters leads us to the next question. This is one of the fun ones. How would you react if one of your friends confessed to you to be a vampire? After a fun little debate, Em, Aren, and Marguerite agree that they “wouldn’t know how to react. They probably wouldn’t believe him/her at first and then they’d be like that’s so cool! But at the same time, they would try to help their friend in whatever he/she needed…even if that meant a lot of blood.”
After the jokes, we come to a really serious topic. With the return of vampire shows, Reginald The Vampire runs the risk of not standing out. So Em Haine, Aren Buchholz, and Marguerite Hanna gave us their thoughts on what makes this show different from the others. All three agree that “the body positive message that the series launches is unique in these times,” they commented.
“In this show, the physical aspect of the character is not important, but rather his heart. This sends a message that is as necessary as it is scarce today: we are all people who deserve respect and love. We can all be vampires and anything we want to be. We have to accept ourselves no matter what. And we just have to be who we are and if someone doesn’t like it, well, it’s not us who has the problem,” they added.
And we say…PREACH!
Em Haine, Aren Buchholz, and Marguerite Hanna are absolutely cute and hilarious. This interview was one of the ones we enjoyed doing the most, not only because of how lovely they are but also because of the message of acceptance and love they left us.
