Warrior Nun 2×05 “Mark 10:45” is feeding the Avatrice nation with masterful storytelling that continues to cement that Ava and Beatrice are endgame. Yes, they might be hitting some speedbumps here and there. But there is love and hope there and it is worthwhile. As for Lilith, I think I might’ve been wrong about her in “Corinthians 10:20-21.” Maybe she is done with the light and has been taken in by Adriel’s dark promises. And even then…I’ve always wanted a story of a powerful woman embracing her darkness. Is this that moment?
Then there’s Pope Duretti. He’s become kind of a problem. But he’s kind of just there not realizing that Mother Superion is there to take him out as soon as he gets too messy. I have faith in that for sure.
*screams in Avatrice*

If you’re listening Warrior Nun writer’s room, we need to talk. Don’t worry, you’re not in trouble. If anything, can I send you an elegantly arranged fruit basket filled to the brim with my undying love? Because this right here, Ava and Beatrice slowly but surely falling in love, is *chefs kiss*. And I’m hoping that Netflix gives this show a season three for the simple fact that these two are having the kind of slow burn that I, as a bisexual woman, dream about seeing on TV. Imagine what you can do with more seasons of this couple. I will survive the shit show that is 2022 for this.
On the Beatrice front, she was facing some inner demons about how she felt about Ava. It also didn’t help that Camila had some choice words about loving a Warrior Nun. You’re not wrong Camila. In a tiny itty bitty way. But why are you trying to stop true love? You’re probably going to die soon anyway. And this is me saying it as someone who likes Camila. Let Beatrice find love, embrace it, and be a baddie at Ava’s side. Is that too much to ask for? Also, I’d like more scenes of Beatrice looking lovingly at Ava as she realizes that this is the one woman who makes it easier to bear the burden of the world they live in.
And boyyyyyyy, the way that Ava looks at Beatrice. I need a moment. That is a girl that knows what she wants. And what she wants is Beatrice at her side. Because she knows in her heart, as long as she has Beatrice with her, they can conquer anything. And it shows a truly beautiful progress for Ava who was a completely different person in season one and didn’t want to know anything about God or demons. Now she knows she doesn’t have to face it alone and that she is more than capable to do it by herself. But if she needs help, and she will, she is not alone. Beatrice is there. And she’s not going anywhere.
Lilith, Girl. What Are You Doing?!

Warrior Nun 2×05 “Mark 10:45” has me conflicted over Lilith and her most recent developments. On one hand, I’m scared for her and the path that she is going down. In every episode, I have been adamant that Lilith knows what she’s doing and won’t fall into Adriel’s trap. I was even sure that she was using him. But what if she isn’t? What if she’s found something with Adriel that her sisters never gave her? And I wonder if I should start mourning the woman she was and accepting the wonder she is becoming. Because there is wonder.
This leads me to my next point. On the other hand…Lilith’s transformation is everything I’ve ever wanted in a character. She is such a powerful and determined woman who has been looking for a place to call home and where she is accepted. And if we look at it differently…maybe she isn’t falling for Adriel’s pretty words. Maybe she’s making a choice and this is the person she wants to be and the power that she wants to hold. With Adriel being accepting of her, maybe this is also the place that she’s always been looking for.
What I’m saying is that Warrior Nun is creating the kind of character that tests our morals, loyalty, and ability to understand the complexities of the human existence. And as women, we deserve to see that complexity. Do I like that Lilith “falling” for Adriel falls into this age-old trope of an older man “showing” a young woman “the way”? No. I don’t. But a darker part of me that wants to test the boundaries of the kind of stories we tell when it comes to women, wants to see it. Because there is a fire in Lilith that has nothing to do with Adriel. And I want to see that fire rage.
Mother Superion is a Baddie & I Don’t Trust Pope Duretti

One, Mother Superion is a baddie. I’ve known that from the very first moment I met her. But she was cemented as one in Warrior Nun 2×05 “Mark 10:45.” These men, well, these dead men, kept forgetting that she was in charge of training the nuns in the Order of the Cruciform Sword. They also forget that the Halo rejected her. Meaning that she trained to be the Warrior Nun. She has the skills to take down anyone who comes her way. And you want to threaten her with your words or death? Yeah, you had it coming. All of you.
As for Pope Duretti…girl, I don’t trust you. I know a liar and deceiver when I see one and that’s all you. You had the nerve to paint yourself as one who is going to Adriel willingly to save the Church. You don’t care for the Church. You don’t even care for your own people as evidenced by torturing one of your own in “Luke 8:17.” And you want me to think that you’re doing this for Mother Superion, the OCS, or the people of Earth? If anything, I have confidence that if given the chance you would kill Adriel and take the power for yourself.
Too bad for Pope Duretti that he doesn’t realize that the OCS will take him down if he rises to power in the same manner that Adriel has. And if he consumes the power that Adriel is hoarding? Oh, heaven help you. Because we both know that you are going to pillage and destroy all those who oppose you. And if you have powers, it’ll be even worse. Ultimately, Mother Superion herself might take you down. Now wouldn’t that be interesting? Especially because even Pope Duretti has never truly respected her for who she is but for what she can do for him.
Notes for Warrior Nun 2×05 “Mark 10:45”:
- I knew that Miguel was Michael. That’s his name. Yasssss.
- I admit, I cried at the reunion with Jillian.
- Who is this big baddddddie? And when will she be making a glorious appearance?
- This show really is upping its mythology with that background info.
- Lilith, girl. Your makeup. What’s your routine? Oh yeah, Adriel burning your eyes.
- Pass.
- But seriously, she looks amazing and I can’t stop thinking about it.
- And her wings.
- So instead I’ll think of Avatrice.
- *dreamy sigh*
