Chicago P.D. 10×09 “Proof of Burden” picks back the Sean storyline, and if the pictures are to be believed, it’s going to make about as much sense as everything about the storyline has — which is to say not much. Truth is, nothing about what’s going on with Hailey has made much sense since Chicago P.D. chose to write off Jay Halstead the way they did. And now she’s being comforted by Voight? Make it make sense.
Oh wait, they cannot. So we pretty much just have to grin and bear it at this point. And if we do, it’s only because of this cast, who deserves better than the writing they’re getting. We have no doubt Tracy Spiridakos is going to blow us away again this episode, just like Marina Squerciati did the last episode. That’s what they do. They just don’t have that much to work with.
