We know that we can’t be the only one fed up with hearing the name Tom Cruise. We also know that some people still love him, though we can’t really account for a lot of people.
We do know that we do love Kate Winslet. She’s iconic and when we thought we couldn’t love her more, we found out that she broke a record that was held by Tom Cruise. Tom had set a record for holding his breathe for six minutes, while filming Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, which is probably the longest that he’s ever shut up or stepped off his soap box. However, Kate, who stars in Avatar: The Way of Water star recently set a record when she held her breath underwater for seven minutes and 14 seconds while filming the movie.
We can barely hold our breathe, so we totally get that either one of them holding their breathe for that long is an accomplishment. We definitely applaud Kate for going over seven minutes holding her breathe.
“Poor Tom,” Kate said when talking about the record with USA Today. “I mean, I don’t know Tom at all – I’ve never met him in my life – but I’m sure he’s getting very fed up of hearing this story of how I broke his record.”
Kate, oh dear Kate, we never say “poor Tom” because we all know that he’s not. And he’s got an ego that keeps him from even thinking he’s “poor” in anyway.
She did add, “I was amazed how good I was at it and how I just kept getting better,”
She’s talking about holding her breathe under water, so if you thought anything else, check your gutter mind.
Avatar: The Way of Water is in theaters now.
