Outer Banks is coming back for more adventures and shenanigans with your favorite Pogues thanks to the official trailer (and photos) for season 3. And we’re not going to lie. We’re nervous.
Every season so far of Outer Banks has exceeded our expectations. From falling in love with characters we never thought would steal our hearts, to young women being given the chance to be themselves and come out stronger for it. And it hasn’t been easy. But with every episode that we passed, the show kept solidifying itself as a show about a bunch of misfits who found a family in each other.
That core message is going to continue in season 3. And of course, the Pogues are going to be tested. When haven’t they? There’s a treasure, all the running, and these young people trying to survive while they are far from home. And we’re hoping against hope that the ships we love stay together and those who are right on track get their moment to shine.
Check out the synopsis for season 3 here:
After losing the gold and fleeing the Outer Banks, Season 3 finds the Pogues washed ashore on a desert island that, for a brief moment, seems like an idyllic home. Officially deemed “Poguelandia,” the island’s newest residents spend their days fishing, swimming, and reveling in the carefree lifestyle of their temporary dwelling. But things quickly go south for John B, Sarah, Kiara, Pope, JJ, and Cleo when they find themselves once again caught up in a race for the treasure, quite literally running for their lives. They’re broke and far from home, they can’t trust anyone, Ward and Rafe are hungry for revenge, and there’s a ruthless Caribbean Don who will stop at nothing to find the bounty. Was the treasure ever within their reach? Or was it all a trap to stop them once and for all? Either way, it’s the Pogues against the world – and the only way out is together.
