South Korea really is dropping some of the best TV out there and Kill Boksoon seems to be the next big hit!
Starring Do-yeon Jeon, it tells the story of a renowned assassin. For her, killing is easy. It’s what she knows and it has its set rules. Now being a mom is the real challenge. Especially with a teenage girl in the 21st century. Throw on top of all that, that she’s a single mom too. Talk about working hard, bringing the bread home, and then having to deal with the complexities of just being the caretaker of someone.
Things start going awry for Kill Boksoon (that’s her nickname apparently) is about to renew her contract. And instead of it being smooth sailing, she ends up in a kill-or-be-killed confrontation. That changes the course of her life and…that’s about all we know. For now at least because this is more of an announcement trailer than anything.
But even then, we’re excited. We don’t get to see enough women who are mothers juggling it all and thriving. We especially don’t get to see women who aren’t cute, plucky, or young. It’s like we age or something. Oh wait, we do. And as we all age, it’s nice to see that TV recognizes that we still go on adventures, save the day, and make sure our loved ones are safe and cared for.
