The Super Bowl is coming, which means …so are the ads. Starting with Peacock’s Poker Face. And not that we’re in the business of judging Super Bowl ads (but then again, maybe we are …because isn’t everyone?), but this one’s kinda fun.
Poker Face was created by Rian Johnson and stars Natasha Lyonne. The ad features Charlie (Lyonne) in a bar watching the game, along with another patron. The man inquires about her ability to determine when someone isn’t telling the truth and proceeds to ask her about advertisements that have just aired during the Super Bowl. The “meta¨ad is supposed to leave viewers feeling like the character is watching the game right alongside them.
Hopefully rooting for their favorite team, too.

POKER FACE is a 10-episode mystery-of-the-week series following Natasha Lyonne’s Charlie, who has an extraordinary ability to determine when someone is lying. She hits the road with her Plymouth Barracuda and with every stop encounters a new cast of characters and strange crimes she can’t help but solve.
Poker Face’s sixth episode “Exit Stage Death” Featuring Natasha Lyonne, Ellen Barkin, Tim Meadows, Jameela Jamil, Audrey Corsa, Niall Cunningham, and Chris Mckinney premiered today, February 9, on Peacock.
