John Wick 4 is almost upon us and we’re ready for another healthy dose of Keanu Reeves. And the final trailer, which Lionsgate just dropped proves that dear lord this man is unstoppable. Not only that, he’s got a dog sidekick helping him fight the bad guys at the Arc de Triomphe. It’s cinematic greatness. It’s poetry at its finest. And honestly, we can’t wait to watch all 2 hours and 49 minutes of this.
In the final trailer, we get to see Wick taking what looks like his final stand. Now, others might think that this is the end for Wick. But they’re wrong. Just because they throw Donnie Yen, Hiroyuki Sanada, Shamier Anderson, and Rina Sawayama at him doesn’t mean he’s not going to fight with everything in him. Even though…I hope Anderson and Sawayama get some good hits in cuz they are talented AF.
But it’s the fact that even years later, movies later, John Wick is still going. He’s still fighting. Why? Because they killed his dog and don’t want to leave him the hell alone. It’s as simple as that. And you’ve got to appreciate a guy who just wants to chill with a dog, race his car around, and do all of that while looking effortlessly fantastic no matter how banged up he gets.
That’s why John Wick is pure poetry. And why this fourth installation will follow that magic.
