Love is Blind season 4 tests what it means to fall in love…again. Do looks, money, and other things matter when it comes to matters of the heart? Or can you fall in love with someone sight unseen? Again, we are watching a bunch of hopefuls navigate these questions in season 4 of the series. And since we can’t control selves (as evidenced by our season 3 breakdowns and our breakdown of season 4 episodes 1-5), here is our breakdown of episodes 6-8 of season 4!
1. Have your feelings changed in general for the show in comparison to how you felt watching episodes 1-5?
Lizzie: It’s even messier. How is that even possible? I still dislike Micah, and hey, at least Irina is gone, but I feel Bliss deserves better. Jackie and Marshall are absolutely wrong for each other, and Tiffany and Brett are the only couple that’s truly on the same page. I don’t think I’ve got as many positive feelings as I did last season, but I also don’t feel the general sense of apathy I felt in Season 2.
Lyra: Honestly, I’m enjoying how these episodes are just a hot damn mess. From start to end, it’s just messy episode after messy episode. Except for Tiffany and Brett. They’re perfection. I will say that my hate for Micah has increased. Like…what was the point of putting doubts into Bliss’s head when talking about Irina and Zack. Like I don’t even like Zack but Micah is doing it to start trouble and one up Bliss and I’m not here for it!

2. Which couple do you think will make it down the aisle?
Lizzie: Brett and Tiffany 100%. I’d be shocked if those two get married. I’ll also be shocked if Bliss and Zack do. I think he jedi mind tricked himself, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy to trust him when he chose someone else. Jackie and Marshall are 100% not getting married, and I’m torn on Kwame and Chelsea and Paul and Micah. If only one of those couples has to make it, If pick Kwame and Chelsea but …they still need a lot of communication to get to where they need to be.
Lyra: If Tiffany and Brett don’t make it, I’m going to lose it. Seriously. They are the cutest for sure, are on the same page, and it just seems easy with them. And I know that TV makes it seem like relationships should be fighting, but I honestly don’t believe that. I believe that you should challenge each other but also grow together with an ease that feels like breathing. That’s what these two are and I really want to spend more time with them and their relationship.

3. Is there someone you now absolutely loathe?
Lizzie: Now? What do you mean now? I absolutely loathed Micah from the beginning. She’s the stereotypical fake — and worse, mean — girl we’ve all come across. I hope seeing herself ends up being a wake up call for her, because going through life being as petty and mean as she is …I cannot imagine she’ll ever be happy like that.
Lyra: Maybe not absolutely loathe but dear lord what is going on with Jackie? It’s like night and day with her in comparison to the first couple of episodes. In the beginning, it felt like she was genuinely looking for love and a connection. Now that she’s back in the real world it feels like there’s been a shift in her where she’s going back to the woman she was before: someone who settles for a fuck boy like Josh. And I know habits are hard to break or maybe this is just who she is. But if so, let Marshall go. Because asking him to be something he’s not isn’t fair to him. And him saying that he thought of you as a project isn’t fair to you. It’s just messy all around.
Also Micah’s friends. Now I see why Micah was friends with Irina in the pods. Because these girls don’t want love. They want to be won like a prize and have men fall at their feet for reasons. And I mean, you do you. But don’t gaslight people into thinking this is the only way of doing things or that they’re wrong for standing up for themselves when someone is clearly being rude to them. Again, messy all around.

4. Who deserves better?
Lizzie: Bliss, for sure. Like, I get she had feelings and she wants to give this a try, but I don’t trust Zack. He talked himself out of this relationship before, how do we know he won’t do it again? And she clearly felt something real, perhaps he did too, but there were still choices made. So how do you get over knowing you weren’t his first choice?
Lyra: 100% with Lizzie here. She deserves to be picked first. And sure, people make mistakes and Bliss has enough grace to give Zack a chance. But I just don’t trust him. He proposed to Irina after all the signs were pointing to her being a shallow choice. And it felt like he was just proving to himself that he could “get the girl.” But the girl was right there and she was Bliss. Seriously hoping that Bliss connects with other baddies from previous Love is Blind seasons like Deepti. They’d kill it together.

5. If you could switch the couples around, who would be your perfect pairing?
Lizzie: I don’t know that I’d switch around from the couples we’ve got, but Jackie clearly should not have picked Marshall and I think Paul would have been better off with Amber. Feels like this season had a lot of people who didn’t make the right choice, and though that always happens, this season feels a lot like there maybe were better choices and these people just…didn’t notice, or didn’t notice in time.
Lyra: Honestly, I think I would switch up the couples so Chelsea and Marshall would try and see if there was something there. Not that I love Marshall after him saying that Jackie was a project. But I do think that Marshall and Chelsea are on the same wavelength. They want a relationship, family, and a bond that will survive for years to come. I don’t think that Jackie and Kwame want that or are ready for it.
I also agree with Lizzie that this season of Love is Blind feels like people picked the wrong matchup. Because I seriously think Amber would’ve been a better choice for Paul instead of the jealous mess that is Micah. Give me more of her, especially if we’re going to bring Bliss and Zack back. What are rules anyway?

Love is Blind season 4 episodes 1-8 are available on Netflix.
