Like book covers, a good movie poster can draw you in and help you decide whether or not you want to check a film out. It’s even better when those two worlds are combined, and the movie poster happens to be for a film based on a book you enjoyed. Passionflix has released the official poster for Gabriel’s Redemption: Part One, and we are in love with it.
Based on the popular book series by Sylvain Reynard and one of Passionflix’s most popular adaptations, the Gabriel film franchise is getting closer to the end, and we’re feeling emotional about it. We know there is still one more book left, Gabriel’s Promise, but we’re not sure if we are getting that book turned into a film yet. Gabriel’s Redemption: Part One is coming to our screens this summer, and we are ready for it. We’ve been treated to a few behind-the-scenes stills here and there, but we couldn’t wait to see the poster, which did not disappoint.
After seeing the poster for Gabriel’s Redemption: Part One, we have to say they nailed it because if you’re a fan of the book, you know what the cover looks like. Though the cover for the film is not exactly like every part of the book cover, it’s pretty darn close, and that embrace between Julia and Gabriel is perfection.
However, before we look at the poster, here’s the synopsis for Gabriel’s Redemption: Part One:
Professor Gabriel Emerson has left his position at the University of Toronto to embark on a new life with his beloved Julianne. Together, he’s confident that they can face any challenge. And he’s eager to become a father.
But Julianne’s graduate program threatens Gabriel’s plans, as the pressures of being a student become all consuming. When she is given the honor of presenting an academic lecture at Oxford, Gabriel is forced to confront her about the subject of her presentation – research that conflicts with his own. And in Oxford, several individuals from their past appear, including an old nemesis intent on humiliating Julia and exposing one of Gabriel’s darkest secrets.
In an effort to confront his remaining demons, Gabriel begins a quest to discover more about his biological parents, beginning a chain of events that has startling repercussions for himself, Julianne, and his hope of having a family.
