Apparently everyone wants their own Virgin River these days. As a life long One Tree Hill fan it pains me to say that we would rather it be without Chad Michael Murray (but that’s from personal interactions we don’t want to talk about).
That being said, can we get down with Sullivan’s Crossing? Sure. Why not? We can separate the actor from the role. We can be adults. Sometimes.
Besides, it looks like he’s a secondary character and so, it’s whatever. Right? Tell us we’re right.
Their upcoming show, Sullivan’s Crossing looks like a Virgin River knock off. It stars Chad Michael Murray and Scott Patterson, along with Morgan Kohan, this new series is about, “Maggie Sullivan is a star neurosurgeon who seemingly has it all, until her business partner is indicted for fraud. Looking to distance herself from the fallout, Maggie decides to leave Boston and return to her childhood home of Sullivan’s Crossing, a rustic and remote campground run by her estranged father, Sully Sullivan. There, Maggie rekindles old friendships and builds new ones with the local residents, including a handsome newcomer, Cal Jones, who only serves to complicate her life further.”
The show is based on the series is based on the novel series by Robyn Carr, and will be on The CW in the Fall of 2023.
