We know many people out there love video games. We do too, but I don’t go as hard for some as others. And I certainly don’t know all the games out there. What I do know is musicians. When you add one of my favorite artists into the mix of a video game, I’m all for that. Halsey just released a collaboration with BTS member SUGA for the video game Diablo IV, and it is fire. Literally.
The song that the duo worked on was Halsey’s track ‘Lilith’ off their fifth album If I Can’t Have Love I Want Power. First, ‘Lilith’ is one of my favorite tracks on that album, and I didn’t think it could get any better. I was wrong. This version was reimagined and created as an anthem specifically for Diablo IV. We have never played this video game before, but we think Halsey and Suga were the perfect choice for this. This isn’t the first time the two have collaborated on a song. Suga is also featured on ‘SUGA’s’ Interlude on Halsey’s fourth album, Manic. And Halsey has also worked with BTS on the poppy track ‘Boy with Luv.’ So we’re not surprised how much we love this latest collaboration.
In addition to giving us a new version of ‘Lilith,’ Halsey delivered an immersive music video that gives video game vibes. It also has a theatrical feel to it as well that we’re obsessed with. Does it make us want to play the video game? No. But it makes us want to repeat the song, which is just as good.
