We love Simone Ashley since Bridgerton Season 2! So we’re ready to discover other facets of her. As soon as we learned that Ashley is dabbling in music, we just needed to know more. So if you’re like us, here’s everything you need to know about Simone Ashley’s latest music, including her collaboration with Charlie Jeer on “SO GOOD.”
Charlie Jeer and Simone Ashley Team Up for “SO GOOD”
Charlie Jeer’s latest single, “SO GOOD,” featuring Simone Ashley, is finally here, and the newly released music video gives us a chance to see the pair’s chemistry on screen as well as hear it. And this collaboration continues the journey Ashley’s been building over the last few years.
As we see, the track fits naturally alongside the sound Ashley has been developing in her own music. Ashley’s voice is a great match for Jeer’s. They each bring something different to the song, and it works. “SO GOOD” has that relaxed feel that makes it easy to play again as soon as it finishes. The music video helps, too. Watching them together adds another layer to the song, and it’s hard not to notice how comfortable they seem sharing the screen.
Has Simone Ashley Done Any Other Music?
It may feel like “SO GOOD” is Simone Ashley’s first venture into music, but, as we said, she’s actually been building toward this moment for some time. Before becoming known as an actress, Ashley trained in opera and classical music, giving her a strong musical foundation that many fans may not know about. Over the years, she’s also shown her talent on instruments like the piano and ukulele.
Her voice first caught our attention through videos shared on social media, where she performed covers of songs such as “Hotel California”. Those performances hinted at a side of Ashley that we hadn’t fully discovered yet.
In 2024, she officially stepped into the recording world with “Cool to Be Kind,” a song featured on the soundtrack for The Night Before Christmas in Wonderland. She also teamed up with Zayn Malik on “See Me,” which appeared on the soundtrack of the animated film 10 Lives.
Earlier this year, on April 10, Ashley reached another milestone by releasing But Songs I Wrote In New York, her solo debut EP. The record includes six tracks:
- “Sublime”
- “Free”
- “Tragic Romantic”
- “Sign Your Name”
- “Moving On”
- “Evening Star”
Across the EP, Ashley embraces a smooth blend of pop, R&B, and soul. Gentle melodies, warm trumpet and saxophone arrangements, guitars, and a soft but steady drumbeat create an intimate, laid-back sound that perfectly complements the richness of her voice. So far, the songs explore different sides of love and relationships, but they also leave the door open for wherever her songwriting takes her next.
