There is something about Paddington the Bear that is comforting. Maybe it’s because we all (ok some of us) had teddy bears as kids and we find comfort in a bear? Maybe it’s because he reminds us of Queen Elizabeth?
Maybe it’s just because it’s Paddington and he’s comfort.
The next movie in the series is Paddington in Peru and there’s been some great additions to the cast.
Olivia Colman, Antonio Banderas, Rachel Zegler and Emily Mortimer are all in talks to the star in the third installment of the franchise which is set to start filming in July.
The four will be joining already announced Hugh Bonneville, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Madeleine Harris and Samuel Joslin. Ben Whishaw and Imelda Stauntonwill be back as the voice of Paddington and Aunt Lucy.
The installment will be following, “Paddington returning to Peru to visit his beloved Aunt Lucy, who now resides at the Home for Retired Bears. Paddington and the Brown Family embark on an unexpected journey through the Amazon rainforest and up to the mountain peaks of Peru.”
The movie is the directorial debut of Dougal Wilson. When it came to the latest casting, Wilson said, “I am absolutely delighted to be working with such a wonderful cast on the next installment of the ‘Paddington’ story. I was already an enormous fan of our returning actors, but for them to be joined by Olivia, Antonio, Emily and Rachel is beyond thrilling.”
We can’t wait to see Paddington In Peru. Do you watch the Paddington series? What are your thoughts?
