Well, here I am, back on my Tyler Hynes soapbox and enjoying every second of my rants. Currently stuck on a long flight home from Texas (which if you are from Texas, I would like to apologize for what I am about to say – Texas sits on the hellmouth, it’s too hot) and contemplating movies and life.
And resisting the urge to tell the man next to me that there is no shame what-so-ever in not talking on a plane (sorry, heat makes me cranky).
Look, blame it on the whiskey. Only I didn’t drink any, so blame it on the heat.
But my personal issues are not the point and so I need to get back to it. I need to get back to the possibility of what kind of movie that Tyler Hynes and Janel Parish could be in. See, recently, it seems that Tyler is always giving away clues to things in his IG stories and if you caught one last week or so, you had to look quickly and you saw the actress behind a lens.
We all saw what he did there, and we all like it.
So new costar? Well that means new movie. So though we have no idea what their movie could be about (and if there was an announcement, I missed it) so I have some guesses. They make no sense, aren’t perverted, and really make me know I need to get some other hobbies.
But I am okay with that.

So lets talk. Tyler and Janel in a movie together is something I can get behind. The question is – is it a Fall Into Love movie or a Countdown to Christmas movie. And what would it be about?
Let’s hypothesis what these movies could be about if it’s a Fall Into Love movie, knowing that not a one will be close, but it will be insanely stupid. I can’t do Countdown to Christmas, because I am too wrapped up in all of the Christmas in July movies.
Untitled Fall Into Love Movie Hypothesis
Dude (Hynes) is living his life in Smalltown USA. He’s not happy, he’s not sad. He’s content. For him, the place that he grew up is the only place that he feels that he needs to be. His family is worried about him, as he’s not in a relationship and his only focus is work. It’s a life he’s existing in, but not living.
It’s a town where everyone knows everyone and one day, a Woman (Parrish) moves to town. She’s happy on the outside, sad on the inside. She’s hiding something, but what it is, no one knows. She’s got her walls up and like Dude, she’s in a life where she’s existing in, but not living.
When paths cross one night, electricity is in the air. Dude stops to help her change a tire and the chemistry is instant. She instantly feels at ease with him and he feels like he started to live for something the moment he meets her.
As their relationship progresses, the two fall in love. He’s there for her and for the first time in his life, he feels hope. But her secret is what she’s afraid to share, until one night, when there is a knock at her door and the secret she’s keeping is right there.
Her husband.
Dude is shattered and doesn’t want to hear anything she has to say. But she’s not willing to give up. See, her husband came to tell her that he still loves her and all, but that was the day that their divorce was final.
She had moved on and wasn’t ready to face the past. But will not facing the past cost her, her future? Because the only future she sees is with Dude. Time will only tell.
Untitled Fall Into Love Movie Hypothesis #2
Dude (Hynes) and Dudette (Parrish) were each others first love. The two were inseparable, best friends that grew up together and never talked about their real feelings, because the friendship was the most important thing.
Dude is now a single Dad, living his life with his daughter after an amicable divorce. His high powered job in the city has afforded them a great life. One that he loves, but one that also leaves him less time to spend with his daughter than he wants.
It’s fall break and he decides to take some time off to head back home to Smalltown USA with his little girl. They are both excited to see family, but he’s in for a shock when he walks up his families driveway and looks to the left, seeing a face he’s not seen in over 20 years.
Dudette is standing there, in a crowd of people that are overflowing from her family home. She’s dressed in black, tears have been streaming down her face. She looks like a shell of the woman that he knew. Their falling out hadn’t been a big thing, just growing apart – kind of.
Having been afraid to divulge their true feelings as teenagers, each had moved on to different relationships. Different lives. Different loves.
Dude’s family is excited to see him and when he asks what happened at Dudette’s house, they inform him that her daughter had passed. His heart breaks and he wants to go see her, to protect her, to make her hurt less.
That night he sees her sitting on the porch and goes to talk to her. She’s broken and as soon as she see’s him, she starts to cry. He takes a seat next to her, and they say nothing, just hugs her why she cries.
As the days progress, the two start to talk and start to find their way back to being the friends they’ve always been. He’s helping her heal, she’s helping him find his way.
When she see’s him playing with his daughter, she retreats, refusing to speak to him. She’s grieving and doesn’t know if she can handle the pain. He becomes angry, because she’s doing it again – she’s running.
She’s running away from him and he’s not willing to let that happen again. Searching for her after he tries to talk it out with her, he finds her sitting on her roof, crying. She tells him that she’s angry. She’s angry at him for their past, the way things left off, the way that they grew apart, and so much more.
He knows that now is not the time to admit his feelings, but she tells him she knows. She found a letter that he had left all that time ago, one she’d never read and then tells her she’s thankful that he never acted on his love, because then they’d never have the children they have and the loves that they have had.
She missed him.
He missed her.
But the two don’t end up together at that moment. We see flashes of them at different times. Their friendship grows stronger and we see them a year later, at the Thanksgiving table, she’s with his family when she reads his letter that she had found (at his request), which had ended with a proposal, and when she looks up, his hand has extended, the ring in his hand, and it ends with him saying, “Will you?”
Untitled Fall Into Love Movie Hypothesis #3
Dudette (Parish) has a successful career. She’s working hard in the city at a marketing firm, ready to launch the next big thing. But, her boss, has other plans. After a failed campaign, her boss puts her on research and a campaign for a small towns jam company.
In her stiletto’s and overpriced suits, Dudette heads to picturesque small town, hating everything she has to do. She comes off better than everyone, but she’s really just angry.
She’s angry that she is there and jam company owner Dude (Hynes) isn’t too happy about the attitude. But he’s been told she’s the best of the best and is going along with whatever she says. This company had been his wife’s legacy and he was carrying on with it in order to honor her legacy.
From photo shoots to tiktok creations, he’s down for everything. The two start to get along as he shows her the simplicities of life. She’s showing him that honoring his wife doesn’t mean that he needs to close himself off.
She’s doing her best to make sure this campaign is everything. But what she needs in order for it to get into stores is a hook and so she puts Dude on a television cooking show in order to get some press. Some judges love what he’s made.
Others not so much.
When one of the judges says something he doesn’t like about the jam, Dude reacts and the reputation of the company, not to mention his wife’s legacy is on the line. But is he really mad at her or is he mad at himself for realizing that he’s moving on and that falling in love again was a possibility?
And now after a few hours of ranting and writing about nothing this totally useless article has come to an end. You’re welcome.
