When it comes to secrets, some of us are good at keeping them and some of us aren’t. It’s never easy to keep a secret in this writer’s opinion – but it is something that one should be good at.
After all, if someone is telling you a secret, they are trusting in you and that is something that one should never take for granted.
But what happens when you have to keep a secret and you can’t tell anyone, that may be the hardest secret to keep. Especially if it’s about something that you want to tell, because you want everyone to share your joy.
@whereisthebuzztv Lana Condor spoke with me about her new film “Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken,” which hits theaters this Friday. In the film, her character discovers that her mother has been keeping a secret from her for over 16 years. What is the longest you have ever had to keep a secret? #lanacondor #rubygillman ♬ original sound – WHERE IS THE BUZZ
“The biggest secret that I’ve had to hold in and the longest I’ve had to do it was like being engaged,” she said. “I kept that secret for months and months and months and months and months before I actually really kind of told anyone. Definitely before I told the public, but even some of my closest friends I didn’t really tell.”
“I kind of kept that secret sacred between myself and my partner because we wanted it to be private,” she added. “That was a tough secret to keep!”
We’re glad that she was able to keep that secret and able to take it all in with her family and friends before giving the world the news.
