While we’re sad that season 4 aka the final season of Sex Education means no more Gillian Anderson as Jean Milburn, we’re okay with it if it means we never get to see Otis again. Yes, we’re still a certified hater of Otis. Have been since season 1 and have only watched for Anderson, Ncuti Gatwa‘s Eric, and Emma Mackey. And with Gatwa heading over to Doctor Who and Mackey saying she was going to peace out after season 4, ending it now just makes sense.
In the awkward as fuck trailer for season 4, Otis stands in front of all of his classmates and gives a very awkward introduction of himself that implies that he has an intimate relationship with his mother. It’s made even more awkward when these people have known him for a while and know who his mother is. So why would they jump to that conclusion? But Otis is weird so I guess they attribute it to that. And thank God that Eric is there to stop the nonsense.
From there, you get to see clips of the show being weird and wild like it’s always been. Fan favorites are back and then there are some like Adam that you can’t help but wonder what they’re going to do with his character. The same thing goes for Aimee and Ruby. But all we care about is the young women of the show getting away from the disaster that is Otis and living their best lives. And for Eric to continue being fabulous. That’s always a plus.
