There are a lot of adaptation that we’re looking forward to and some well, we’re like meh. When it comes to adaptations, the biggest thing that we care about is that they are faithful and well, that the author is involved. They create the story and they know it better than anyone.
We’re not sure of Tay Marley‘s involvement in his QB Bad Boy & Me, but we have to admit that we’re going to be turned off from watching it if she’s not. The writer created one of our favorite stories on Wattpad and we want to see it come to the screen with the greatness that it deserves.
And we’re already scared of the adaptation because of the casting. No hate to Noah Beck, but we didn’t see him as the lead in this movie. We do however, appreciate that he’s given an update on the movie and how he came to be in the movie (which he’s also an EP on).
“I just told my team, would it be possible, it seems I’m pretty good on this little screen, can I get on a big screen? Like, that’d be cool. I think that’s something that I would love to try, and they were like, ‘Yeah, let’s get you an acting agent. Let’s get you some auditions. Let’s get you all this,’” Noah said when he was recently on the Zach Sang Show.
He went on to say that he’s been in acting classes for two years (we’re loving him taking it seriously and taking classes). He went on to give an update on the movie.
He said, “I haven’t filmed it yet. I’m supposed to start filming in like a month, less than a month. I know the script like the back of my hand now because it’s been pushed. We were supposed to start filming this time last year. So it’s been pushed due to, you know, all things Hollywood.”
Well we can appreciate that he knows the script, but we’re hoping that he knows the origin story as well.
