Look, we don’t know what’s coming in Doctor Who. Like, we literally have no clue. We know who is coming back. We know who the new Doctor is going to be – Ncuti Gatwa. And we know Nicola Coughlan, our very own Penelope Featherington of Bridgerton fame is going to be on the new season of the show.
But that doesn’t mean we know what’s coming. What role is Coughlan going to play? How big is that role? When it comes to actual information, we truly have very little. But at least now we know what Coughlan is going to look like on the show, so there is that. We’ll take the little crumbs we get and we will enjoy them, okay?
Especially if they come with that cute little red hat and matching jacket!
Sadly, all of this excitement is for something we’re going to have to wait a long time for. Coughlan’s role is for the 2024 Christmas special. That’s right, not the 2023 Christmas special, but …2024. We have quite a wait ahead of us. First, we’ll see David Tennant and Catherine Tate return for three 60th anniversary specials, and then Gatwa and companion Millie Gibson are set to make their debuts this Christmas.
After that, we have the full series featuring the 15th Doctor, before we get the 2024 Christmas special, which will feature Coughlan. But hey, at least we know what she’ll look like when she finally makes her debut.
