FX renewed the docuseries Welcome to Wrexham for a third season the same day its Season 2 finale aired. The Emmy-nominated series chronicles Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds‘s stewardship of the Welsh football club, Wrexham AFC, with each episode vying for the team’s promotion out of the National League and into EFL League Two.
The team has remained in the former for 15 years, but, finally, Welcome to Wrexham 2×15, “Up the Town?” sees the team’s heroic promotion.

Welcome to Wrexham Season 3 is set to premiere on FX in Spring 2024, with all episodes streaming the next day on Hulu. They will be available on Star+ in Latin America and Disney+ in all other territories. The show’s debut season is nominated for six Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program.
“The wild global success of Welcome to Wrexham is a testament to the courage and vision of Rob and Ryan, the dogged spirit of the Red Dragons, and the hope and devotion of the people of Wrexham,” said Nick Grad, President, FX Entertainment Grad, who announced the show’s renewal on Tuesday, November 14.
“It’s a story that has only begun to be told and one that everyone can continue to follow along with in the third season. Our thanks to the creative team who captured these thrilling moments and everyone who achieved what seemed impossible only a short time ago,” Grad added. Welcome to Wrexham Season 2 continues Rob and Ryan’s mission to return one of the oldest and most storied football teams in history to glory.

The sophomore season, which navigates the duo’s second year running the 3rd oldest professional football club in the world, gets to know Wrexham AFC and its players better.
Equally as important, Welcome to Wrexham Season 2 remains invested in the working-class town in North Wales, UK, and the people who make it. “From Hollywood to Wales, from the pitch to the locker room, the front office to the pub, Welcome to Wrexham follows Rob and Ryan’s stewardship and the inextricably connected fates of a team and a town in the midst of history in the making,” per its official synopsis.
McElhenney, Reynolds, Josh Drisko, Bryan Rowland, Jeff Luini, Nick Frenkel, George Dewey and Boardwalk Pictures’ Andrew Fried, Dane Lillegard, Sarina Roma, and Jordan Wyn executive produce Welcome to Wrexham. More Better Productions, Maximum Effort Productions, 3 Arts Entertainment, and Boardwalk Pictures produce.
