This episode of FOUND was a bit overwhelming.
This episode of FOUND was a lot.
This episode of FOUND made me feel a little all over the place, confused, and also intrigued. There is nothing about this show that hasn’t pulled me in from the beginning with its compelling storyline, great actors, and the wonder of what could happen next. But here I am, trying to figure out a way to put into words how much I loved this episode and also how intrigued I am to see what will happen next.
In this episode, Danae is missing. She’s an indigenous pregnant woman who is missing. Her Grandmother has come to Gabi and the team to find her. There is no member of the team that isn’t willing to go above and beyond to make sure that she is found.

While the team is in unknown territory – having to look for Danae on a reservation and abide by the rules of the reservation – it won’t stop them. Kai, who heads up the reservations police department, but is also Danae’s brother, doesn’t seem to want them around. He’s upset that his sister is missing (naturally), but is also put off by the fact that the team doesn’t seem to want to respect their rules.
While I do understand that the team needs to follow every single possibility, and I respect them for it, I do believe that sometimes they are a little reckless. Yet, for all of them, I see the fact that a child is involved as a trigger. They all are in overdrive, hoping to help – hoping to save that child from any pain that would come its way. They don’t want their lives repeated.
I think, for me, the hardest part of the show is that I don’t understand what is happening with some of the characters in the show, because we’re never given a full backstory. And, I do wonder if in future seasons, we will get that. Maybe they will focus on other characters stories. Maybe they won’t. But I would definitely love more information.
While the characters in the show are very strong and very complex, I don’t always feel invested in them. Yes, I do believe that we’re being given as much as they can give us at this point, in order to sustain a storyline. Yet, what can I say. I am greedy. I want more now.
But lets get back to the episode.

I do love that Trent dives in with the team in order to do everything to find Danae. Man, I love Trent. He’s dedicated to Gabi and I would even say that he loves her. She’s not emotionally available and he really doesn’t know her, but he does love her. He’s not willing to give her up as the person that stole the drive, even if that means saving his job.
Now, for Trent, being a police officer is his identity, so I feel for him and think that he deserves his job. However, I also see that won’t happen as is, because he’s not going to give up Gabi. Emotions are a tricky thing.
Throughout the series so far, I feel like the show has made me both love and hate Trent. TBH though, this episode couldn’t even done a better job at making me more invested in Trent and his story.
Trent and Gabi, as well as Lacey, are on the reservation looking for Danae, and eventually realize who is responsible. It’s crazy how people give clues, even when they don’t mean to. Danae’s doctor turns out to the be the one that had kidnapped the baby and left Danae to die. That whole scene made me want to rethink going to a therapist, cause man, woah.
What I did love at that moment was seeing Margaret’s strength. I think all too many times we are underestimating her, but when push comes to shove, she’s there to rise to the occasion. She was right there to protect that baby and when it came down to it, she wasn’t going to let that baby go. Quite frankly, I admire Margaret and her “super power” (IYKYK). But even more than that, I admire the entire team and the way that they work together.
The way that they are always there.
During this whole thing, you’re probably asking yourself what happened to Sir? Well, he’s been pacing back and forth in the basement, pretty much going insane. He’s wanting to know what happened between Gabi and Trent and if she slept with him. It’s none of his business, but that’s not going to stop him. His obsession with Gabi isn’t something I understand, but in the same breath, I am not sure that I want to understand crazy.

He is so frustrated and upset that we find ourselves seeing him – we think – manage to escape. At the end, Trent and Zeke both get notifications that there has been a credible Sir sighting. Gabi isn’t sure what has happened – because he managed to take out her cameras. She’s not sure if someone saw him in the house or if he’s free. She’s lost her power.
And for Trent to tell her and Lacey that there has been a credible sighting, they both are trembling.
They both are afraid.
And I can’t blame them. No one can.
The tides are turning and what happens next is anyones guess. But we can tell you that our asses will be firmly planted in place while we wait to see what happens on next weeks episode of FOUND.
