It’s time to head back to Philadelphia in the ABC comedy Abbott Elementary. Starring Quinta Brunson, this show tells the story of a group of inner-city school teachers and staff who are tasked with educating the children of their city to their best capability. Alongside that, there is interpersonal drama, the realities of knowing your limits as a teacher, and fighting for your kids every day.
After a couple of really intense months of negotiations between the studios and the actors and writers who absolutely deserve fair compensation, Abbott Elementary has been in full swing when it comes to bringing season 3 to life. And in the teaser trailer/promo, we get to see that things are still the same at Abbott Elementary. Janine is eager, the parents are disillusioned, and the principal continues just being unapologetically yourself.
But personally, I’m most looking forward to what is going to happen between Janine and Gregory. Last we left off, they had confessed that they were feelings there but Janine decided that she needed a little bit more time and that she wasn’t ready. It’s absolutely within her right to set boundaries and I’m really looking forward to how the show explores her friendship with Gregory. Because those feelings haven’t disappeared. It’s a slow burn after all. And I’m excited to see how Janine develops as a woman, teacher, and person. She deserves that time to find out who she is just as much as Gregory does.
