The final season of La Brea has started and it’s definitely one for the books. The first episode of the final season leaves fans of the show wanting more and this a**hole (me) had so many questions.
Now that being said, when you’re doing interviews, you can ask questions, but there are things you know you can’t ask. There’s this whole wanting to be respectful and professional. There’s also this thing that a lot of people don’t count on – that sometimes you’ll be starstruck because you’re speaking with one of your favorite ships on television.
And here I was – talking to Veronica St. Clair and Jack Martin, who play Riley and Josh on La Brea. I love their characters, but I also love that in the middle of the chaos of 10,000 BC, these two want to just have some normalcy. That they can fall for each other and have each other’s back no matter what.
They are truly underrated on this show. I wish that, in addition to them solving the mystery of why they are there, we can see more of them just talking about things that aren’t the sinkholes, so we can get to know them better.
By the time we got to them, I was completely nervous and read the wrong question from my notes. Wrong question in the sense I was talking about another character. I was mortified. I word vomited (as one does when they are embarrassed). Rather than sitting there and moving on, I found myself saying I was tired.
But these two laughed it off and made an interview fun and well… romantic.
Now, I don’t believe in editing interviews to make myself look better – even though I should. So when I post interviews what you get is something raw, but I am going to edit that out and one day, maybe, I will put it out.
I was lucky to do my interviews with John Betancourt and his outlet Nerds That Geek. See our interview with Veronica St. Clair and Jack Martin below –
