Felicity Smoak is a badass since always…and Emily Bett Rickards too! We can see this in the trailer for Calamity Jane, where she shares the bill with Stephen Amell after Arrow, so, officially, Olicity is back! – more or less. Ready?
Here we go!
Calamity Jane, a shoot-’em-up Western featuring the two longtime collaborators, is coming to theaters and digital on Feb. 2. And PEOPLE shared the exclusive first look at the movie’s action-packed trailer.
Rickards plays the title character, based on the real-life frontierswoman and sharpshooter of the American Old West who became a mythic figure in the late 19th century. Amell, meanwhile, plays Wild Bill Hickok — another folk hero from that era. But this iteration of Calamity Jane focuses on the aftermath of his murder.
In the film, after Wild Bill is killed in a poker game, Calamity Jane must break out of prison and seek revenge. Her quest is hindered by Deadwood’s Sheriff Mason (Tim Rozon), who is out to detain and arrest her.
Distributed by Samuel Goldwyn Films and Tubi, the movie is directed by Terry Miles and co-written by Leon Langford and Collin Watts. It costars Priscilla Faia, Gage Marsh, Garrett Black, Christian Sloan, Troy Mundle, and Spencer Borgeson.
