Chicago P.D. 11×04 “Escape” marks the return of Dante Torres to Intelligence after an unexplained furlough that coincided with the show announcing budget cuts that required less time on screen for all series regulars. Benjamin Levy Aguilar, the newest member on the team, was the obvious character to write out for a while, but that doesn’t mean Dante hasn’t been missed.
He hasn’t had time to develop much of a rapport with anyone on the team, and with Hailey leaving soon and Adam and Kim already a unit both on and off the job, Kevin seems like the obvious choice to pair with Torres. But it’s hard to tell what Chicago P.D. has in store for Dante or the team in general going into a possible Season 12, as their exit plan for Hailey Upton seems to be following the same thread as the exit plan for Jay Halstead, which wasn’t exactly great.
Let’s hope Hailey gets some justice as she leaves and that the characters and actors staying get a show that has some ideas on what dynamics they want to focus on with Hailey out of the picture.

Love Torres. Glad he is coming back. Husband and I were worried he was being written off the show., this is our favorite TV show. Never miss it.
I absolutely LOVE Chicago PD! I have watched every episode, since the day the show began, and now if any of the old episodes air, on any channel, I usually watch them as well, as the new season episodes. When the writers strike happened, and all the new season was on hold, it broke my heart.
I can hardly wait to see Torres return on tomorrow nights airing. His character is mysterious, but so likeable, and I love how he uses his instincts to follow leads on cases. YAY, looking forward to seeing him return.
Totally agree, with above comments. I love Chicago Pd as well as the whole Wednesdays line up. Especially Chicago PD, so glad Torres’ is coming back..
