Chicago P.D. 11×08 “On Paper” might be the episode that truly starts to plant the seeds for the eventual departure of Tracy Spiridakos’ Hailey Upton. The episode brings back SVU detective Petrovic, who is also set to appear in the previous episode, and we could see Hailey Upton in SVU, we really could. But in a way, it also feels like a cop-out if this is really where the show is going.
Not just because it’s episode 8 of a 13-episode season, but also because Wolf Entertainment has Law & Order: SVU right there if that was something they ever wanted to introduce with Hailey. Wouldn’t FBI make more sense? She did cross over there? Or, you know, something to do with her now ex-husband Jay? Just throwing ideas that actually make sense out there.
We’ll just have to wait and see. For now, things are making very little sense, and time is running out.
