Believe it or not, Season 25 is almost over — Law & Order: SVU 25×13 “Duty to Hope,” the season finale, airs tonight! So, to mark the occasion, let’s go with a little first look to get you through the remaining hours until the episode airs. No major spoilers here — just a little sneak peek to get you started on thinking about the last case of the season.
In the scene (below), Velasco (Octavio Pisano) and Bruno (Kevin Kane) are interviewing a suspect. And let’s just say it doesn’t exactly look like it’s going well for the guy in question. After all, it’s never a good thing when your prints wind up at the scene of a sexual assault. Add that to some other unfortunate circumstances, and it’s no wonder he’s in that interrogation room with the detectives.
Is this guy guilty or not? To be honest, we’re not really sure. All we know is Fin (Ice-T) tells Carisi (Peter Scanavino) he has an alibi but “not a great one.” And to put it lightly, Bruno and Velasco both look fed up. So, none of the above is exactly helping this man’s case. On the other hand, it’s not as if we haven’t seen plenty of cases where someone has either no alibi or a bad one and turns out to be completely innocent. Not to mention, the suspect isn’t exactly giving off “stressed because guilty” so much as “stressed because stuck.”
Is that “no way” convincing enough? Maybe yes, maybe no. Regardless, you’ll have to watch the episode to see if his claim that he stayed home all night holds up or not. Until then, feel free to watch Benson’s boys do their thing and decide for yourself.
