Memo to ones self – Dawn is for dishes, not skin. Definitely not bubble baths. Yes, yes, you would think that this would be obvious, but well, it was good enough for bubble baths when we were kids.
But now we’re thinking about the fact that it may be the reason that our skin was always so dry. However, going to keep that thought to ourselves, because not going to disrespect our parents (but totally giving the side eye here). See, we learned from Adria Arjona on the Just for Variety podcast, that filming a certain bathtub scene with Glen Powell in Hit Man involved Dawn. And well, it left them both with a crazy rash and in a lot of pain.
“That strips you of all your oils of your skin,” she said about the scene and the dish soap. “That’s used for baby ducks when there’s an oil spill for God’s sake. We soaked in this bathtub for an hour and I get out of the tub and all of a sudden I dry myself and I can’t bend my knees because I have no oils.”
TBH, never thought about that, but does make perfect sense. Maybe we should be wearing some gloves when doing dishes, because hey, our hands are always dry.
“That was the day that we filmed all of our sex scenes – all of them with a crazy rash,” Arjona added, “We were both in so much pain. We would just die laughing, ‘How much makeup do you have on your ass right now?’ I was like, ‘So much, it’s not even funny.’”
We’re suddenly looking at dish soap in a completely different way.
