Netflix is back with another season of The Mole. This reality TV show takes a bunch of contestants and puts a cash prize at the end of a bunch of challenges. The big twist is that one of the players is secretly sabotaging the group. And as the season goes on they’re supposed to weed out this person and figure out “who is the mole?”
Season 1 of the series was a surprising success in a wide media landscape of reality TV shows. And with season 2 premiering its first to five episodes on Netflix, there’s plenty to talk about as to who we think is the mole. Because we subscribe to the Dwight Schrute school of suspecting people. It’s not who you most suspect or least suspect that is the one causing mayhem. It’s the one you medium suspect.
So here’s our ranking for The Mole season 2 episodes 6 through 8 and who we think is the saboteur. And don’t forget to check out suspect write up for episodes 1 through 5 here!
Least Suspect

Hannah
A small part of me wonders if the actual mole is Hannah and she’s throwing suspicion off of herself by volunteering with Ari. It would be diabolical but I don’t know if she’s that good of an actress. If I’m wrong, go Hannah. Hollywood is waiting. But she went from most suspect to least suspect because like Muna below, it feels like she’s actually here for the game and to have that reality TV fame. Which, werk.
Muna
Muna went from me medium suspecting her to least suspecting. Why? I think she’s playing a good game. Not just for herself because reality TV can launch a career. But also as a contestant who wants to make it to the end. And even though she’s a bit sus after missing the temple key, even I didn’t realize it said, “keys” on that gate.
Medium Suspect

Deanna
I know other contestants were side-eying her because she was scared of the cave, but I would be as well. No matter what the Netflix crew says, you can’t control what truly happens down there. And there’s risk involved with every slippery step you take. But the temple…now that was some acting that as a little over the top and suspicious.
Michael
Let’s talk about the wires and the bomb. Even if Michael made a mistake and got confused at which wire to cross, he didn’t show remorse for losing them all that money. I also think that he absolutely understood what Hannah and Muna said but chose to do the complete exact opposite. It’s sus.
Most Suspect

Ryan
Number one: she knew that was a clock tower. Number two: was there some sort of delay on that call? Because those seconds were eaten up on the phone. And number three: I understand sitting back and observing the scene. But there was that final challenge in episode 8 where she didn’t volunteer up to have dinner with Ari. Why? Because she set up those baskets. She’s the mole.
Sean
If not Ryan, then absolutely think it has to be Sean. He consistently wanted to make calls to find out where the team was. Which, fair. You’re trying to find them. But if you’re a former undercover cop, why weren’t you on point with questioning with Deanna and Ryan? I think he’s lying and that his cover story is fake. And looking back to even episodes 1 – 5, there is an inconsistency to him that feels forced.
Conclusion: Who do I think is the mole?
Ryan. She knew that the “Big Ben statue” was a clock tower. When Deanna first opened the door to the red temple they were in, Ryan looked around and said, “clock.” I understand that pressure makes things hard, but she kept with her blunder on the call and afterwards. It was by far the most obvious sign that she’s the saboteur. And this is despite me trying to follow in Dwight Schrute’s line of rating suspects.
The Mole season 2 episodes 1-8 are now on Netflix. New episodes drop July 5, 2024.
