Have you seen Twisters as of yet? If you haven’t, we think you definitely need to watch it. Yes, we may have not been too keen at the beginning at the idea of the movie, but we were wrong. The movie is really damn good and solidifies Glen Powell as a movie star.
The actors t-shirt scene, you know the one. The stepping out into the rain and his t-shirt getting soaked straight through almost didn’t make it into the movie. Now, we get that this is a choice that editors and directors make, but we’re glad that this didn’t get cut. What happened?
Director Lee Issac Chung admitted that he tried to cut the scenes time, but met with objection from his editor.
“You know, I tried to reduce that scene. I trimmed it down,” Chung said when speaking to The Wrap, “And my editor at one point said, ‘You’re about to face a mutiny in this editing office. You have been requested to please restore the full length of that shot or else there will be a mutiny.’”
We all need to recognize editor Terilyn A. Shropshire as our hero because when Chung asked who made this demand she replied, “The ladies.”
Some heroes don’t wear capes, they edit videos.
Twisters is in theaters now.
