The Day of the Jackal, starring Eddie Redmayne, Lashana Lynch and Úrsula Corberó has released its teaser trailer and some first look pictures. Peacock premiered the teaser trailer during its coverage of the Olympics opening ceremony and we stopped to take a second look.
It looks good.
The show, which comes from Peacock and Sky, is based on the Frederick Forsyth novel and 1973 film adaptation. It tells the story of the Jackal (Eddie Redmayne) who is a lone and elusive assassin who basically makes his living killing people for the biggest fee.
You know though that drama is about to occur, because after his latest kil, he meets a British Intelligence officer who is on the hunt for the Jackal. A cat and mouse game all around Europe occurs (which we know is gonna be exciting) and leaves destruction in its wake.
The series has been updated and is going to reflect more contemporary issues and a, “current turbulent geo-political landscape and will delve deeper into the chameleon-like anti-hero.”

The Day of the Jackal stars Eddie Redmayne, Lashana Lynch, Charles Dance, Richard Dormer, Úrsula Corberó, Chukwudi Iwuji, Lia Williams, Khalid Abdalla, Eleanor Matsuura, Jonjo O’Neill, Nick Blood, Sule Rimi and Florisa Kamara.
The show will premiere on Peacock (U.S.) and Sky (UK) on November 7.
