Passionflix has released the official trailer for The Air He Breathes, and it looks like it will take us on an emotional rollercoaster.
Based on Brittainy Cherry’s best-selling book, The Air He Breathes follows Elizabeth (Kelcie Stranahan) and Tristan (Ryan Carnes), who find solace and healing in each other’s company after suffering devastating losses. As they navigate their grief and past traumas, they discover the power of love and second chances.
In the trailer, we glimpse Elizabeth and Tristan’s first meeting, which occurs when she and her daughter Emma (Charlotte Ann Tucker), who we already adore, accidentally hit his dog with her car. It’s safe to say their relationship does not begin on the right foot, which honestly fits the enemies-to-lovers trope. Tristan and Elizabeth don’t initially get along, but they find common ground in their experiences of losing their significant other. We also get to see the romance that starts to form and it looks pretty passionate. But, it is also very complicated because, in the trailer, Elizabeth actually says the words, “We use each other to remember Steven and Jamie, his wife.” Talk about messy! Basically, Elizabeth and Tristan use each other so they don’t forget the spouses they lost. Relationships like that don’t typically end well. Maybe it will be different for these two. We’ll have to wait and see.
Whatever the outcome is in this story, we know Passionflix will deliver another angsty film. We can’t wait to see how Director Rachel Annette Helson brought Cherry’s characters to life onscreen. The trailer looks good, so we’re already sold on this adaptation.
