According to The Hollywood Reporter, Todd Stashwick, who had a key role in the third season of Star Trek: Picard, has joined Paul Bettany and James Spader in the new Marvel Studios series focused on Vision, a continuation of the award-winning WandaVision and it’s time to go over all the details. Ready?
Here we go!
This is a new opportunity for Stashwick to collaborate with Terry Matalas, the producer in charge of this new project that still doesn’t have a definitive name, although Vision Quest seems to sound like the possible one.
Alongside Stashwick, Paul Bettany will once again take on the role of Vision, the android who fell madly in love with Wanda Maximoff — better known as Scarlet Witch — but ended up being destroyed by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. In WandaVision, Vision returned as an android rebuilt through magic and the power of grief, to show us how Wanda managed to overcome her grief for Vision.
James Spader, meanwhile, will once again step into the shoes of Ultron, the being created by Tony Stark (Iron Man) as a defense program, but who ended up rebelling against humanity, as seen in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Ultron also played a role in the creation of Vision, as he could be considered something of a “son” of Ultron. The details of whether Ultron will return in human form or as a robot still remain under wraps.
The new Vision-focused series aims to explore his search for a new purpose in life, and some rumors suggest that Todd Stashwick was cast to play an assassin who hunts down Vision and the technology he possesses as an android, but nothing is confirmed yet.
This new show is intended to close the trilogy that began with WandaVision and will continue soon with Agatha All Along. Filming for the new series will begin in 2025, so we still have a while until we see it on our screens and we can’t wait!
