The Legally Blonde franchise is one of the most iconic movie series of our time. We know that the movies had a profound effect on my life. I know it has had a profound effect on my friends lives also. It’s just that good.
And we have apparently been living under a rock, because we (me – i am we) had no idea that a Legally Blonde prequel series was coming from Hello Sunshine and Prime Video. We’ve just been waiting for the third movie (which we would also still like). Maybe we did know, it’s been a long past few years and you can’t expect us to remember everything.
But a prequel series? Of course we will take that. The prequel is supposed to be about, “the life experiences that shaped her into the iconic young woman we came to know and love in the first Legally Blonde film.”
It got even more exciting when Reese Witherspoon made an announcement on the prequels casting via her social media.
She captions the video, “Our search for the high school version of Elle Woods is officially ON! 💖✨ With our friends @primevideo we’re making the casting process totally OPEN, so you can submit your auditions at the link in my bio… I’m SO excited to see all your fabulous takes on everyone’s favorite Gemini vegetarian! 💕👛🌟🎀”
