Chicago P.D. Season 12, Episode 2 ‘Blood Bleeds Blue’ follows the tragic death at the end of the Chicago P.D. Season 12 premiere and presumably takes us into the manhunt for Emily Marter’s murder. It also introduces us to Kiana Kook, the female character played by Warrior Nun’s Toya Turner, who is actually her to stay. Praise be. It’s hard with Chicago P.D. to know when we can get attached, it almost feels like we gotta ask for permission.
Kook seems like an interesting character, and it looks like she will be paired with Adam a lot in her first episode, which again, makes sense — he is the one who’s going to be reeling from what happened. It’s just kind of sad that the way things have worked out means we don’t get to see him lean on Kim, and that Adam’s manpain comes at the expense of the show killing a female character. Brand new idea, groundbreaking, never heard that before and all.
Hopefully, it leads to something interesting for the character. And hey, here’s to Kiana Cook and Toya Turner getting this chance. That we are looking forward to and will wholeheartedly support.
