One of our favorite online series is the Lie Detector series from Vanity Fair. Celebrities take lie detector tests and sometimes the information that comes out of them is just the most fabulous thing in the world.
Because hey, if they are lying, they get caught. So you make the choice – do you get labeled a liar or do you tell the truth. We love the truth, even if they truth isn’t always what we want to hear.
Press for Wicked has started and its stars, Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande have taken on the lie detector test and it was a lot of fun. But we were shocked when Ariana was asked about if she loved her fans.
She said, “I love them always, but I think sometimes they can hurt my feelings. Sometimes I don’t like them, but I love them always. Does that make sense?”
She added, “It’s a hard relationship, I think. It’s sort of weirdly parasocial, but it feels very real to me, so sometimes it’s hard, but I love them very much.”
We were surprised that she was so honest, but we definitely weren’t mad about it at all. Actually have a ton of respect that she was this honest about how she feels. She also went on and spoke about her fandom name, Arianators (she’s not a fan of the name, but has accepted it), if she believes that we landed on the moon, and more.
