Since its premiere, Doctor Odyssey has hit the ground, or is it the ocean, running. So far, we had a penile fracture in episode 1, and we just survived the craziness of singles week in episode 2. This week, Doctor Odyssey Season 1, Episode 3, ‘Plastic Surgery Week,’ is about surgery. The episode should be interesting because the team isn’t allowed to do surgery onboard unless it’s an emergency. So… exactly what will Max, Avery, and Tristan be doing? Our guess is a whole lot of maintenance. One thing we do know is a certain special guest will be onboard.
Based on the synopsis for episode 3, the owner’s wife (guest star Gina Gershon) will be on board, so that will be a high-stress situation for the Captain and the medical team. If there is even one misstep, some jobs could be on the line. We also have to acknowledge that there is also some personal drama to deal with. In Doctor Odyssey episode 2, Max saw Avery and Tristan share a kiss, so we don’t know what that now means for all three of them. Did Avery feel anything when she and Tristan kissed? Will anything start between the two of them? Or was it a one-time thing that they can move past, and does she want to be with Max? Only time will tell, but we will be here for the ride. Is it too soon to pick a side? Are you team Avery/Max, or Avery/Tristan?
And how is Captain Massey doing? After having a cardiac episode, he can’t afford even an ounce of stress. Then there is the matter of a possible contagion affecting the passengers onboard… it looks like Doctor Odyssey episode 3 will be another one that keeps us on the edge.
