If you love romance, the news that Harlequin has joined forces with production and distribution company Centinel Media to expand the Harlequin universe through a slate of films and series feels like a dream come true. Sure, Hallmark exists, but when it comes to guaranteed happily ever after, that’s often our only stop. And if we’re being honest, more romance is always better.
Content is expected to start being released in 2025, which feels far away, but it actually isn’t. There are no broadcasters or specific dates set yet, but once we have the information, we will let you know!
For now, here’s what we do know about the new partnership.
What We Know About Harlequin’s New Partnership
The first book-to-film adaptations include fan-favorite titles:
- Savvy Sheldon Feels Good as Hell by Taj McCoy
- The Dachshund Wears Prada by USA TODAY bestselling author Stefanie London
- Sweet on You by Carla de Guzman
- Second-Guessing Fate by Claire Robyns
- Ordinary Girl in a Tiara by Jessica Hart
- Plus, a movie inspired by the enthralling world of Harlequin’s long-running hit Montana Mavericks series
“Harlequin has a 75-year legacy of publishing happily-ever-afters, which makes us uniquely positioned to support the rising popularity of romance across mainstream media by expanding the platforms Harlequin uses for storytelling. The upcoming book-to-film adaptations of Harlequin novels will create destination viewing opportunities for romance fans to come together and experience the rewarding emotional journey our novels provide on the small screen,” said Brent Lewis, EVP & Publisher, Harlequin Brand Group.
