Saoirse Ronan is telling it like it is and we’re standing up and applauding her for it.
Recently Ronan appeared on The Graham Norton Show alongside stars Paul Mescal, Eddie Redmayne, and Denzel Washington. While on the show the actors were discussing defending yourself from an attack.
Paul talked about the idea of using a phone. He said, “Who is actually going to think about that? If someone actually attacked me, I’m not going to go ‘phone.'”
Graham continued Paul’s conversation about the phone and added, “Can you hang on a second?”
And then Paul continued the conversation by pretending to hold a phone to his ear and saying, “Sorry mum, one second. BANG.”
Redmane said that it was “a very good point.”
While the men joked, it was a conversation that seemed to be tone-deaf. They may think that it is funny, but their reactions changed quickly when Ronan injected her thoughts into the conversation, “That’s what girls have to think about all the time.”
The way that all of their faces changed at that moment – they all seemed to go from joking to looking somber.
Ronan looked at the crows and said, “Am I right ladies?”
We couldn’t agree more.
