Have to admit that when people say that they are exiting for “scheduling conflicts” there are so many parts of us that doubt those words. We want to believe that reasoning, but we weren’t born yesterday.
Lewis Pullman and Ariana DeBose were supposed to star in Dutch & Razzlekhan, which is a true crime love story. It was announced that the two had departed, due to scheduling conflicts. Now, the two are extremely popular, so we do understand that other projects may have come up or that their option may have run out. We get that. But PR people are going to have to find another way to say it because “scheduling conflicts” sounds fake.

BUT, their roles have been filled, Gabriel LaBelle (Saturday Night) and Isabela Merced (Alien: Romulus), have signed onto the roles. Also previously announced was actor Chloë Grace Moretz.
Now, we’re not really upset over other castings – they happen all the time and these are some great actors.
The movie is based on the 2022 Business Insider article “The $4.5 Billion Question” by Rob Price and Becky Peterson. Yes, like you, we’re going to be looking this up because we hadn’t read that article. The story is about the most expensive heist in history, from Heather “Razzlekhan” Morgan (Moretz) and Ilya “Dutch” Lichtenstein (LaBelle). The two stole $4 billion worth of cryptocurrency.
Merced plays Carla Vargas, who is a hacker that was blackmailed by the FBI in order to find them. The Department of Justice did find them with her help and were charged with trying to launder bitcoin. They will be sentenced this November.
We’re going to have to read the article and see what happens so we can learn all about this story.
