Chicago P.D. Season 12, Episode 8 ‘Penance’ continues the storyline set up in last week’s episode, ‘Contrition’ which at least makes us think this hour might not as end as badly. There’s time to resolve Kiana Cook’s kidnapping and for the episode to end in a positive way for everyone. And though Cook isn’t in any of the pictures, we don’t think anything’s going to really happen to her.
The show wouldn’t kill two WOC in the same year after just introducing them to Intelligence, would they? Would they?
If nothing else, this episode will probably continue on the theme of Torres’ guilt, and go a long way towards establishing new dynamics between him and the team. He’s been here for a while now, and yet in many ways, he still feels separate. A case like this, especially with his secret coming out, will probably bring them all closer. You know, since this is Chicago P.D. and there will be no consequences for Torres and all.
And honestly, there shouldn’t be! If there have been no consequences for Voight, why would Torres have to face them?
