NCIS Season 22, Episode 6 ‘Knight and Day’ is not just a Katrina Law episode, but a Katrina Law kicks ass and takes names episode, which feels fitting. We’ve seen Jessica Knight have a few emotional moments since she returned to the team, but we haven’t really seen all that much character development there. Who is Jessica Knight now? She returned, but that still doesn’t answer the question of if she can ever be happy in the kind of life that doesn’t eventually take her away from this team.
That’s why we were where we are with the Knight and Palmer relationship, too. Not lack of love, they’ve made that clear. Not lack of a desire to be together, either. Just… fear and understanding that unless either of them is sure that they can be happy in the now, they shouldn’t try to commit to the future. And that, well, that starts with Jessica.
Not that we’re expecting everything to unravel this episode, but it feels like a good place to start.
