NCIS: Origins Season 1, Episode 10 ‘Blue Bayou’ is the show’s Christmas episode, and it figures that on a show that always hits us in the feels, this one was going to more or less a mopey Christmas episode. I mean, it’s not like Gibbs’ first Christmas after losing his wife and kid could be in any way, shape or form joyful. At best, it can be bittersweet. So here’s where we are.
But as we look back on the show, and as we preview the last episode before the show’s mid-season break, we gotta say even though Gibbs might not be grateful for what he’s getting to live through, we are grateful we’ve gotten to explore this journey. We weren’t sure we needed to. We didn’t think we were really going to enjoy it. But we admit we not only have but that we’re looking forward to a lot more.
