We love when celebrities tell us insights to their lives, no matter what it is. Granted, this one kind of gave us the heebie jeebies, because if there is one thing that we are afraid of – it is rats. Yes, we live in New York, so we know it’s a fact of life, but doesn’t mean that we want them.
Supermodel Gigi Hadid spoke with Architectural Digest and one thing that stood out for us – one part of her New York City apartment had a rat problem.
“My outdoor space in New York is getting a little update because we had a rat problem in New York, and some of the original designs of the space didn’t help that problem. So that’s what I’m looking forward to.,” she said when discussing renovations in her apartment.
Not gonna lie, we definitely got the ick, but we also know it happens.
Hadid also spoke with Architectural Digest about her style in her home, which she calls “eclectic, industrial farmhouse.” She spends her time between New York and her Pennsylvania farm. She spoke about her favorite gadget/appliance in her home and it is one that we can definitely relate to.
She said, “I guess the one that I use the most is my Nespresso. And I need the milk frother situation. They’re a couple.”
One thing that we didn’t see coming was that in her home, was an art room. It sounds fun and special to her and her daughter, Kai.
She said, “I like for my kitchens to be my living rooms, so either that space, or Khai and I have an art room that’s really special to us.”
Then clarifying what an art room is, “A crafting room. There’s one wall in there that’s the wall she’s allowed to paint on in the house. And we do all sorts in there like clay and shrinky-dinks and obviously a lot of drawing and painting. It’s good for both of us. We love it.”
