Mandy Moore has shared that she has lost her home due to the historic fires occurring right now in the Los Angeles area.
Moore shared on her Instagram on Tuesday that she and her family had to evacuate the Altadena area. She said that she was safe with her “kids, dogs and cats” and added that she was, “Praying and grateful for the first responders.”

She updated again on Wednesday and said, “Grateful for the kindness of friends that we had a place to land last night. Trying to shield the kids from the immense sadness and worry I feel. Praying for everyone in our beautiful city. So gutted for the destruction and loss. Don’t know if our place made it. #eatonfire.”

Unfortunately, late Wednesday, Moore updated her followers again on her Instagram story again and said, “This is Altadena. Leveled. My sweet home. I am devastated and gutted for those of us who’ve lost so much. I’m absolutely numb.”
She posted later on Wednesday on her grid and said, “I love you, Altadena. Grateful for my family and pets getting out last night before it was too late (and endless gratitude to friends for taking us in and bringing us clothes and blankets). Honestly, I’m in shock and feeling numb for all so many have lost, including my family. My children’s school is gone. Our favorite restaurants, leveled. So many friends and loved ones have lost everything too. Our community is broken but we will be here to rebuild together. Sending love to all affected and on the front lines trying to get this under control.”
We’re thinking of everyone in Southern California with the historic fires and windstorms. We’re so thankful to all the first responders out on the front lines. We’ve been glued to the news – watching everything that is happening and praying for some relief for the people of California.
