I think it’s safe to say that 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 5, Episode 11 “Impact” was the most depressing episode of the show to date. It may be one of the saddest episodes of television history. Nothing went right for any of the 126 this week. And we’re wondering if anyone is going to survive. Let’s review!
Tommy’s Health

Tommy received the worst news in 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 5, Episode 11 “Impact”. Her chemo treatments aren’t working, and they discovered another tumor pressing against her aorta. She doesn’t have much time left at all. This was absolutely heartbreaking and somewhat shocking. We just assumed Tommy would be okay, but she’s not. She calls her kids because she needs to give them the tragic news and tell them to come home. But she can’t go through with it after seeing how excited they were about seeing Olivia Rodrigo in concert with their uncle. After she hangs up the phone, she starts crying and coughing. And the next thing we know, she’s looking at Charles.
Does seeing Charles mean she’s already dead? Or is she in a coma? We’re not 100 percent sure, but it can’t be good. On one hand, we’re happy that she’s going to be reunited with her husband. But we just can’t deal with Tommy dying. It’s not how we wanted the series to end. Is it possible there’s a miracle for Tommy out there and she can survive? We can hope.
Bad News for the 126

Other members of the 126 received awful news this week. First, TK and Carlos met with a social worker to get approval for TK’s brother to live with them. It was so cute how TK was so nervous and wanted everything to be perfect. At the beginning of the visit, it seemed like everything was going well. The social worker could even relate to TK’s drug use since she’s in recovery, too. But in the end, she couldn’t approve them to be legal guardians because of their jobs.
On one hand, we understand. TK and Carlos both have dangerous and unpredictable jobs. And Jonah has lost both of his parents. But TK and Carlos love that little boy so much. We have to wonder if TK will leave his job so he can become Jonah’s guardian. We just refuse to believe this is the end of this story.
Mateo also had a terrible week. After fighting with a law officer, he’s told he’s being deported. If he leaves the country on his own, he can come back in a few years. Well, that’s fantastic! The 126 has to save him, right? Or will he leave? Will Nancy leave with him?
Of course, this all assumes that they’ll live to make these decisions because…

The End of the World?
9-1-1: Lone Star Season 5, Episode 11 “Impact” ends with an asteroid headed right for Austin, Texas. The 126 had a few precious minutes to call their loved ones to tell them goodbye, and then they braced for what may be the end of their lives.
We’re pretty sure the 126 is going to survive. Because this is 9-1-1: Lone Star, after all. They’ve survived other intense situations, and the show wouldn’t end with everyone dying. Right? But even if they survive, how will it change the 126? Will the firehouse survive? Will the people of Austin be okay? Will Owen decide to stay and not move to New York?
While we can’t wait to find out the answers to these questions, we’re scared. And we’re sad. This is the end. These five seasons have been so amazing, and we love all of these characters. It’s gone way too fast, and we’re not ready to say goodbye.
