Chicago Fire Season 13, Episode 12 ‘Relief Cut’ is the calm after the storm. And what a storm the crossover was. A good storm, though. Firehouse 51 went through some complicated stuff! Mouch almost lost Trudy. Stella was trapped in a train underground for hours. But they made it out not just alive, but with a new outlook on life. That’s especially true of Stella Kidd and Kelly Severide, who seem like they will finally stop just talking about the idea of expanding their family and start, you know, putting it into practice.
Near-death experiences are scary. Even if you’re a first responder and you go through many more than regular people, they still serve to remind you that life is short and that you can’t change that. All you can decide is what you’ll do with the time you have. And for Kelly and Stella, what they want is to spend it together. What they want is to be a family. Even if that might get complicated.
Honestly, we can’t wait to go on this journey with them, whatever it brings.
